Ms. Avelira Rodriguez Gonzalez - Co-Principal

Ms. Avelira Rodriguez Gonzalez


Ms. Avelira Rodriguez Gonzalez serves as the co-principal of Waukegan High School-Brookside Campus. Ms. Rodriguez Gonzalez has served as an educator and administrator in Illinois, Florida, Massachusetts, and Puerto Rico for the last 23 years. Most recently, she served as the Assistant Principal for the Dr. Bessie Rhodes School of Global Studies in Skokie. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from InterAmerican University in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She has also received four separate Master’s Degrees all related to education, two from Concordia University-Chicago and two from the University of Phoenix. As she begins her new role, Ms. Avelira Rodriguez Gonzalez is focused on familiarizing myself with the high school, school district, making connections within the community, and working to implement the district’s mission in her daily goals. She looks forward to listening, learning, and leading while making strong connections with all stakeholders alike. Ms. Avelira Rodriguez Gonzalez also enjoys riding motorcycles.
