The ACT is a national college admissions exam that assesses readiness for college. It consists of 4 subject tests: English, Math, Reading and Science with an optional writing component. It includes 215 multiple-choice questions and takes approximately 3.5 hours to complete (just over 4 hours with the writing component). Students at Waukegan High School are eligible for up to TWO fee waivers for the ACT, which are available through your counselor.
How do I sign up for the ACT?

Colleges that do not require ACT/SAT:
More schools are becoming "test optional" and don't require the ACT/SAT for admissions. However, these schools may require an essay or interview in order to make admissions decisions without the use of test scores. To Bring Day of ACT:
The SAT is a standardized assessment of critical reading, mathematical reasoning, and writing skills, skills essential for success in college. It is one of the most widely used college admissions test, along with ACT, and colleges typically accept both tests as part of the admissions process.
Students must take the state-sponsored SAT to earn an Illinois high school diploma. The SAT will be held Mar 11, 2023
The March test score will be available on the student's transcript.
How to access your SAT score.
A student can access their scores through the college board student reporting portal. The portal can be accessed through the College board account. Students can also use the College Board account to register for future SAT test.
Steps to accessing test scores
The student must create the College Board account through www.collegeboard.org (However, please avoid creating multiple accounts, only one account will be able to access your score)
To view your scores, visit www.studentscores.collegeboard.org, sign in if you have an account. If not, please create an account. If a student cannot view the score, the student needs to call College board student support line at 866-756-7346.

It is advisable to link your college board to Khan Academy to help study for the SAT test.

Then hover over SAT tab on the top left corner of the screen
