The Diverse Learners Department will be hosting a Diverse Learners Dinner and Resource Fair on Thursday, October 12 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Welcome Center, 742 W. Greenwood Avenue. Dinner will be provided for families who RSVP by October 5. 

During the event, a variety of organizations will be on hand to help educate DL parents on a variety of resources, services, topics and programs relating to:
- Assistive technology - Transportation - Employment - Special recreation - Medical care, rehabilitative services and medical care coordination  - Residential services, adult basic education, life skills and independent living - Support for immigrant families - Legal services  - Counseling

Organizations present for the fair include PACE Bus, Waukegan Public Library, the Illinois Respite Coalition, Goodwill Great Lakes and the Illinois Department of Rehabilitation Services.
