Board Members Recognized by IASB
Posted on 10/17/2022

The Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) honored four Waukegan Public Schools Board of Education Members during the annual IASB Lake Division Dinner last week, in recognition of their dedication to learning and leadership.

Senior Board Member Ms. Anita Hanna was one of just four Lake County Board Members to be recognized as a “Legacy Board Leader.” Legacy Board Leaders are individuals who have achieved Distinguished Board Leader status with IASB, and also have more than 25 years of service as a Board Member. Distinguished status is obtained through attendance at various IASB meetings, conferences and professional development workshops.

The Board Leader recognition program replaces what was previously the IASB’s Master Board Member recognition program. Other Waukegan Board Members earning Distinguished Board Leader status were Board Vice President Mr. Rick Riddle and Board Member Ms. Charlotte Callahan Wozniak.

Additionally, Board President Mr. Brandon Ewing was recognized for achieving Established Board Leader Status.
