A Special Meeting of the Board of Education will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. for Open Session, 5:30 p.m. for Closed Session.

The meeting will be conducted remotely via GoToWebinar. Members of the public can join the meeting from a computer, tablet or smartphone by visiting

The meeting will feature a Public Comment portion. Members of the public wishing to address the Board are asked to sign up prior to the meeting, using the following form: https://forms.gle/WWwe5PUDPVKiVhL1A. Speakers will be called upon in the order in which they signed up. The ITS Department recommends that individuals signing up for public comment use a mobile device (Smartphone or Tablet) to login and watch the meeting, as it will make it possible to speak during public comment. If you do not have a mobile device and are planning to use a personal computer, you will be able to view and listen to the meeting, however, please be aware that your microphone may not be able to be unmuted.  Anyone signing up for public comment is also encouraged to submit their comments in writing to the Board President at [email protected] in case of any technical issues.

Members of the public also have the option of viewing the meeting via monitors in the Lincoln Center Board Room. In person attendance will be limited to 20 persons total based on current health and safety guidance particular to Waukegan. This includes at least one representative of the Board, one technology support staff member and one security staff member.  Board members shall have priority for in person participation. Therefore, the public is encouraged to attend and participate in the meeting via the instructions set forth above. Once the limit is reached, all others will be excluded. All attendees will be required to wear a face covering for the duration of the meeting, and social distancing practices must be followed. Attendees may be required to submit to a wellness screening as well.
