Mr. Daniel Hill Appointed as WHS Co-Principal

Mr. Daniel Hill Appointed as Co-Principal of Waukegan High School

The Waukegan Community Unit School District # 60 Board of Education appointed Mr. Daniel Hill as the new Co-Principal at Waukegan High School this week. Mr. Hill will serve as co-principal out of the WHS- Washington Campus beginning July 1. 
 
Mr. Hill has worked for 18 years in Waukegan Public Schools as a teacher and administrator. He began his career in 2002 as a math teacher at Jack Benny Middle School, and was appointed Dean of Discipline at the school in 2008. In 2011 Mr. Hill was appointed as the Assistant Principal at Abbott Middle School, where he worked until 2015, when he was named Principal at Clearview Elementary School. 


During his time in Waukegan Schools, Mr. Hill has worked to improve school climate and culture, increase student academic outcomes, and advance staff and organizational effectiveness. He is proud to live by his motto of “every student, every day, no days off.” 


“I love the Clearview community dearly and I am going to miss them all, but I am excited to begin work as the Co-Principal of Waukegan High. I’m looking forward to joining the team in the work of fulfilling our school and district mission. My personal mission is to ensure the best educational services for every student, every day,” said Mr. Hill.  


Mr. Hill holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota, and master’s degrees in Educational Leadership from Saint Xavier University, and the American College of Education. He is a Waukegan resident and has had three children attend Waukegan schools.
