The Counseling Department at Waukegan High School supports students’ academic, personal, and postsecondary success by helping them develop strong decision-making and goal-setting skills. Counselors work closely with families, staff, and stakeholders to guide academics and college/career planning. Students are paired with counselors for grades 9–10 and again for grades 11–12 to build strong, lasting relationships. Counselors are assigned by last name, with specialized support available for English Language Learners.
