Testing ACT/SAT

The ACT will be held on April 10, 2025. This college admissions exam includes English, Math, Reading, and Science, with an optional Writing section. The test takes 3.5 hours (or 4+ hours with Writing) and consists of 215 multiple-choice questions.

ACT Registration & Fee Waivers

  • Register online at www.actstudent.org.
  • Waukegan High School CEEB Code: 144-322 (needed for registration and college applications).
  • Eligible students can receive up to TWO fee waivers through their counselor.

What to Bring on Test Day

  • Printed ticket & Photo ID
  • 2 No. 2 pencils
  • Permitted calculator (see ACT guidelines for approved models)

SAT Information

The SAT is another widely accepted college admissions test that assesses

  • Illinois students must take the state-sponsored SAT to graduate.
  • March SAT scores will appear on student transcripts.
