Waukegan High School recently celebrated its student-athletes during its annual Athletics Awards Night. Congratulations to this year’s Male Athlete of the Year, Carter Newsome, and Female Athlete of the Year, Hadassah Brown.
WHS also honored Carter Newsome as the 2026 Leo Singer Award winner and Xochilt Zamora as the Mable Holle Award recipient, recognizing their leadership, sportsmanship, and dedication both on and off the field.
