Ms. Beth Samuels - Brookside Campus Assistant Principal

Beth Samuels brings over 13 years of teaching experience to Waukegan High School. She comes from Beach Park School District 3 where she taught both 4th and 5th grade. During her tenure at Howe School, she was an advocate for all students and worked hard with the PBIS team to foster a strong building climate and culture. She also served on the Building Leadership Team, as a New Teacher Mentor, Student Council Chair, and Intramurals Coordinator. Ms. Samuels was also an adjunct professor for the College of Lake County upon which she taught ELL classes which included Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. 

Ms. Samuels received a Masters in Teaching from Trinity International University and she also has ESL and TESOL endorsements from the College of Lake County. Additionally, she holds a M.A. in Instructional Leadership from Concordia. Ms. Samuels is committed to ensuring that all students learn to their maximum potential and she is personally dedicated to lifelong learning.

Ms. Samuels lives in Old Mill Creek with her husband, Rob. Together they have 6 children: 4 girls and 2 boys. Ms. Samuels loves the outdoors. She spends her weekends up north camping or working in her gardens at home. She loves animals and has 3 dogs. If Ms. Samuels was asked to describe herself in one sentence it would be, “I am passionate about education and living life to the fullest”.
